On every 31st October, children as well as adults celebrate Halloween by dressing up in costumes role-play as someone else for the day.

Children have no difficulty turning up on the day as super heroes and other famous movie characters like Chewbacca or Indiana Jones. However, adults have a little more of a problem since not everyone feels comfortable about dressing up.

This is especially true for the ladies since Halloween costumes for the ladies commonly revolves around sexy nurses or hot dominatrix. But if you’re a mother trying to accompany your children on Halloween as they make their rounds, dominatrix just isn’t the right kind of character you should be dressing up as.

This is where vintage evening gowns come in. While it may not seem like it, a full set of vintage evening gowns can be a great idea for Halloween. Normally when you put on vintage evening gowns as fashionable wear, you don’t put on a full set whole scale. That way, you will appear more like a stage actress than a fashionable lady.

However, appearing like a stage actress could be just what you are looking for in a Halloween suit. Donning a full set of vintage evening gown makes you look like you’re from a different era, yet at the same time; it isn’t outrageous, thus suitable for the less adventurous.

Many famous television and movie characters also feature vintage costumes. These could be famous personalities from the 70s or 80s, like Farrah Fawcett or Jacklyn Smith. You could dress up in the same vintage evening gowns which they had worn on one of their on screen performances and role-play as a famous star.

You could also pretend to be movies characters like Bond girls and dress up in the exact same vintage evening gowns that they wore. Or better still, go all the way and dress up like Mary Poppins in a 1920s set, complete with parasol and high hats.

Vintage evening gowns are great options for modest mums trying to have some fun during Halloween, and best of all, you can still wear your vintage gowns to other occasions besides Halloween. Try wearing one of those Spiderman suit outside of Halloween, if you dare.

Wearing vintage evening gowns allows you to maintain your class and show off your taste even during a Halloween party.
